Ok, this was the first attempt. I realized my ISO was set at 1600, so these are a bit grainy. I hope to do another shoot tomorrow as long as Owen and Ethan cooperate.
I was playing around with my flash, bouncing it off different things in Owen's room to see how it would look. This was interesting. I bounced it off the dresser and it made some colorful catchlights in his eyes.
Well, today was 70 degrees and sunny, so Owen and I headed outside for a little photo shoot to commemorate this gorgeous day. Don't think we'll have many more of these for a while here in Cleveland!
Not only do I love my son's chubby little fingers, I love the lighting in this shot - the bright spot of sun and the deep shadows. We were sitting under a tree and Owen was pulling grass out of the ground. He is a landscaper's nightmare.
Owen's Grammy Patrice got to give him a bath this past weekend and I got to take pictures! It's hard to take pictures and give the bath at the same time... not a good idea for expensive photography equipment.
I did some baseball portraits of Owen back before he could crawl and I just loved them. I decided to do it again, but this time I took him out on the ball field... er, grass. I think he's going to be a catcher. Check out the hand signals!
