Big Sister, Little Sister

This weekend I had the honor of photographing big sister Amy and her new 2-week-old little sister, Bridget. They were both a delight to work with. Seriously, could they be any sweeter?

Self Portrait with Snowflakes

To create the flakes in the background, I punched a snowflake-shaped hole in a piece of black card stock and taped it to the front of my lens. The bokeh took on the shape of the "aperture." My Christmas lights turned into snowflakes! I'm looking forward to trying this again soon. It was a lot of fun.

Colored Catchlights

I was playing around with my flash, bouncing it off different things in Owen's room to see how it would look. This was interesting. I bounced it off the dresser and it made some colorful catchlights in his eyes.
